It's been 120 years since the IdeA incident. The world has been plunged into an age of plague, monsters and radioactive wastelands. Just as society begins to rebuild, a new threat has emerged. A mysterious new creature has begun to appear. The only thing about the Lnrg, as they have become to be known as, is that they come from a place called Tarshish. Independent City Governments have begun to form to protect the assets that humanity has managed to scrape up, and they need more mercenaries to fight for humanity.

Hordes of Tarshish is massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG). It is played in your browser any time you want. Currently it is in an open alpha, so there are still some bugs to fix and features to add. The gameplay is similar but not identical to Nethack or any other Roguelike game.
